Parting surface and shrinkage of butterfly valves casting

The shrinkage rate of the butterfly valve casting is determined. During the operation, the material selected for the casting belongs to austenitic stainless steel. Under the condition of resistance shrinkage, combined with the shape of the casting structure, the outer diameter of the casting is 2.0%, and the inner cavity scale is used. Adopt 1.5%. Parting surface selection. The valve requires that the center line of each pipe is on the same plane, and the feeding of each annular pipe is difficult. Therefore, the plane of the center of the three nozzles is a parting surface, and the casting is divided into upper and lower halves.

The selection of the parting surface of the butterfly valve casting will effectively pass through the center of each nozzle of the valve casting, so that the plane of the parting surface is the largest section of the valve casting, and the axial centerline of each nozzle of the valve casting is in the same plane. In the above, the use of the cast sand core is reduced, the deviation of the lower core joint assembly is reduced, the crease is formed after the pouring, and the relative dimensional accuracy and surface quality of each part of the valve casting are improved, and the shape is convenient and simple.

The casting system for butterfly valves casting uses an underfill casting system. The pouring gate of the bottom injection type system basically works in the submerged state, and the filling is stable, which can avoid the splashing, oxidation and the defects of the casting formed by the molten metal; no matter how much the gate ratio is, the runner works basically. In the full state, it is advantageous to block the slag, and the gas in the cavity is easily discharged in sequence.
