Structural requirements of butterfly valve castings and the use of the disc

Butterfly valve disc casting , although the structure is different in the casting process, to a certain extent butterfly valve disc castings have the common characteristics. Each disc has a cylindrical bore with a transfer shaft and a ring groove or sealing surface mounted with a sealing ring. According to the use of the disc, the disc material can be divided into cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. The blanks are all castings.
Main technical requirements of butterfly valve castings
1. The ring groove precision with sealing ring is generally 6 ~ 7 grade, and the degree of finish is not less than ▽ 5
2. The precision accuracy of two axle holes is 4 ~ 6 grade, and the degree of finish is not less than ▽ 6
3. The precision accuracy of the no-match processing surface is 8, and the the degree of finish is ▽ 3
4. The disalignment degree of two axle holes is not greater than the specified value.
Butterfly valve disc casting process is of great flexibility and wide applicability. The size of the liquid formation parts of the entire equipment is almost unlimited, and the weight can be from several grams to several hundred tons. The wall thickness can be from 0.5 mm to 1 m. Any metal material that can be melted into liquid in the industry can be used for liquid formation. For cast iron with poor plastic , liquid formation is the only way to produce blanks or parts.
The cost of the liquid formation part of butterfly valve castings is relatively low. The liquid formation can directly use scrap parts and  smear metals, and the equipment cost is low. At the same time, the liquid formation part processing allowance is small, saving metal.
