Sand casting process for non-ferrous metal casting and chemical hardening

Non-ferrous metal casting is the melting metal, making the mold, and pouring molten metal into the mold. After solidification, the forming method of metal parts with certain shape, size and performance is obtained. It is necessary to melt the metal into a liquid which is in accordance with certain requirements and cast into the mold. After cooling, solidification and cleaning, the castings with predetermined shapes, sizes and properties can be obtained.

Because non-ferrous metal casting blanks are near forming, it has achieved the purpose of avoiding mechanical processing or small processing. It also effectively reduces the cost and reduces the production time to a certain extent. It can be seen that nonferrous metal casting is one of the basic processes of modern equipment manufacturing industry.

In addition to mastering the foundry technology of nonferrous metals, we also need to understand the characteristics of chemical hardening sand casting process. Because the strength of the chemical hardening sand mold is much higher than that of the clay sand mold, and after making the sand mold, after hardening to a very high strength, the film is removed without any modification. Therefore, the mold can accurately reflect the size and shape of the mold, and it is not easy to deform in the subsequent process. The casting has high dimensional accuracy.

Because the viscosity of the binder and sclerosing agent used in the chemical hardening sand casting is not high, it is easy to mix well with the sand particles. The sand mixing equipment is light, low power and high productivity, and the working part of sand treatment can be simplified; of course, it does not need large and complex molding machines.

When using chemical hardened sand mold casting, the mold material can be selected according to the production requirements. It has been proved that the chemical hardened sand with water glass as binder is low cost and the working environment is odorless in use, while the chemical hardened sand with resin as binder is easy to separate from the molding sand and the workload of the casting is reduced. And most of the used sand is reused.
