How is the filter valve cover of the filter valve connected to the valve body?
- Dec 30, 2017 -

The filter valve cover is a valve part equipped with stem seal, which is used to connect or support the actuator. It is also formed by casting process the same as the valve body. In a valve, the filter valve cover and the valve body can be a whole, also can be separated, there are different forms.
If the filter valve cover and valve body can be separated, their connections can be divided into threads, flanges, welding, or by means of pressure self sealing device. Otherwise for convenience, the filter valve cover and valve body can be made into a whole without connection.
Relatively speaking, the threaded connection structure of the filter valve cover is simple, the price is low, but the valve cover gasket and the rotating surface is tightly, when loosen or tighten the valve cover is maybe to damage the joints. If the size of valve is large, then tighten the valve cover needs large torque. Therefore, the valve cover with a threaded connection is confined to a valve with a nominal size not more than the size of DN80.
In addition, the filter valve cover can also be connected by the single threaded ring sleeve and the valve body. The advantage of this filter is that the fastened joint, so the joint surface will not move relative. Therefore, even if the valve cover is loosed frequently, it is not easy to damage the joint surface.
But this way of connection is the same as the threaded connection valve cover, and the valve cover with a threaded ring is limited to a valve with a nominal size of no more than the size of DN80. If the filter valve cover is made from the material that can be welded, the threaded bonnet can be sealed to ensure its sealing.
